Human adenovirus 5 strain Adenoid 75 (ATCC VR-5™) is a whole-genome sequenced virus that was isolated in 1953 from the adenoid tissue of a 4-year-old girl with enlarged, chronically infected tonsils. This strain has applications in infectious disease research, respiratory studies, and assay development. It is also suitable for use in cell-based assays and molecular virology applications.
